There are currently 2 petitions which are being offered and which call for requiring gun insurance. They are not detailed solutions and have not gained much support.  They are:

Sponsor legislation requiring that all gun owners be required to purchase liability insurance from private carriers

This petition asserts a potential for mayhem by military-grade firearms. It proposes that weapons holding more than 6 shells or which can be fired faster than once a second have $1 million dollars. It was created Dec 19, 2012 and as of Dec 31 has 364 signatures

Penalize all gun owners who do not purchase insurance against damage caused by their guns

This petition recites basic concerns about gun violence and demands a PENALTY for those who do not have sufficient insurance. It was created Dec 22, 2012 and as of Dec 31 has 20 signatures.

These numbers could be compared to the numbers of signatures on pro-gun petitions or petitions attacking gun critics. The power of organization in something like this is amazing. The Anti Gun Critic petitions appear to be expressions of extreme hostility rather than attempts to solve problems. There are also several petitions calling for more regulation of guns.

Created Dec 21, 2012 and as of Dec 31 has 95,340 signatures. It should be noted that another petition against Piers Morgan has 12,712 Signatures and 2 petitions to protect him have a total of 11,446 signatures.

Create ‘Gun Free Politician Zones’ for all politicians who support ‘Gun Free School Zones’ and strict gun control laws.
